Hi Steve, thanks for your comment. It appears that thus far Buddypress isn’t compatible with OpenSocial because more generally, Wordpress isn’t. I found a discussion thread about this that you might find useful:

BUT…

BuddyPress does not play with OpenSocial, right?

Potentially leaving it out of ground swell of Apps, including my beloved Google Docs Spreadsheets

My team has been working with BuddyPress since some time. we knew the potential of BuddyPress in social networking world.

To further strengthen BuddyPress we have developed our own BuddyPress kaltura Media component .
